DEVELOPMENT AND PROOF-OF-CONCEPT IMPLEMENTATION OF AN SDN-APPLICATION
MetadataShow full item record
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a brand new concept for a dynamic and scalable network, that separates the control and data plane logic of traditional network devices, and create a flexible manageable architecture. With new paradigm, a network administrator can have a complex overview of the network, whatever sophisticated it is, and apply policies and configurations to every node in the network without carrying about vendor’s specifications. With the increasing amount of data and the even more important diversity of multimedia traffic in the Internet, network operators need easy and scalable ways to guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS). This work describes the concept of network infrastructure that provides the required QoS demands based on SDN.
